Technical Publications Assistant

The Role:

This position offers the opportunity to work within the Stanton, Suffolk based Technical Design team offering assistance to the team and taking responsibility for the creation of technical illustrations and manuals for internal and external customers.

Shelbourne Reynolds designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of agricultural machinery for both the UK and overseas. This position offers the opportunity to join a group of experienced Design Engineers. You will be involved in some exciting business process developments as the company looks to continue its growth through new technology and software.

Duties to include:

• Creating new and maintaining existing parts manuals.
• Updating and maintaining parts manuals on the company website.
• Translating CAD models and drawings into graphics for in-house applications.
• Creating and maintaining assembly instructions.
• Developing website based interactive parts manuals.
• Supporting the Design team with CAD detailing.

Skills and Attributes:

• Either relevant experience or a qualification within Design or Engineering.
• Strong IT skills are essential and ideally experienced with 3D CAD programs, Adobe Creative Suite, MS office suite, ERP systems and Component Engine.
• Previous experience of producing parts/operators manuals and guides would be beneficial but is not essential as training will be given
• A highly motivated individual able to demonstrate an astute attention to detail along with having a logical approach to work is a must.
• Some Mechanical Assembly understanding would be advantageous but not essential.
